Why You Should Be Using Wen’s Cleansing Conditioner

Published / by BDtop

Not everyone is familiar with WEN by Chaz but they should be. Wen’s hair products can be used on practically any type, length, and texture of hair. Buying the right shampoo and pairing it with the right conditioner can be very frustrating. Especially when you have to use multiple different brands to get your hair the way you like. Wen’s cleansing conditioners are an all-in-one product. The shampoo and conditioner is already included but there is also the added bonus of styling treatment. So instead of buying what could lead up to at least three products, Wen narrows it down to just one.

Emily McClure at Bustle did a little experiment of her own by using the infamous cleansing conditioner by Wen for about a week. McClure has naturally straight and fine hair so she was excited to see how the styling treatment would benefit her. After the first couple of days, McClure seems a bit disappointed and claims the cleansing conditioner is weighing down her roots and she isn’t getting much volume. She does point out that her hair looks healthier and she hasn’t had to clean her shower drain which regularly becomes clogged by stray hairs that fall out during washing her hair.

By day five, McClure was enjoying Wen’s cleansing conditioner but seemed a bit frustrated that after curling her hair the curls did not seem to hold but the overall softness of her hair quickly made up for this. While on a night out with friends, she receives many compliments on how shiny and great her hair looks. She is still getting used to the ten pumps needed from the cleansing conditioner as well as showering in the morning but overall it seems to have been a great experiment.

Wen by Chaz was created by Chaz Dean. His love for hair started when he was a photographer. He immediately became a stylist at the exclusive Bel Air salon in Los Angeles. Working his way up the ladder, Dean became manager of the salon in no time and eventually ended up buying the salon and filling the seats with celebrities thus becoming hairstylist to the stars. He moved his salon to Hollywood and renamed it the Chaz Dean Studio. Many celebrities feel the upscale salon is an escape from paparazzi and rigmarole that comes with being famous. Dean is always thinking and creating new products to suit his clients and anyone who wishes to have the hair they have always dreamed of having. Need Wen? According to her own words, here’s how the WEN cleansing conditioner worked for her hair.

On day one, her hair was greasy and frizzy when she stepped into the shower to try the product. She put the recommended dosage into her hair and reported that her hair immediately felt thicker and more voluminous. She also noticed that no strands fell out into the drain. After she blow-dried her hair it looked much more shiny and bouncy.

She continued to use the product daily and, by day three, was impressed that even at the end of a long day, her locks still looked shiny and healthy.

By day five she reported being completely confident about her hair from start to finish. On day 6 she met some friends for drinks and they all commented on how shiny her hair looked—a huge confidence boost.

Wen Wins Over the Pros!

Wen hair by Chaz Dean, is a hair cleansing system that is a deep cleaning conditioning shampoo that does not have to lather. It can be found in only select Sephora salons that choose to purchase and use it on their clients. The public can purchase it online from Total Beauty or from one of the many infomercials by phone.

How Wen By Chaz Dean Won Over the Pros

Emily McClure is a professional stylist that decided to take Wen for a spin to see how it behaved on her hair which had a few issues of its own. Emily’s hair is very fine and she uses a good amount of styling product on it. Any shampoo she uses is going to have to stand up to it. See,

The first thing she notices was the amount of product that she was asked to use. It was 12 pumps and she thought this was a lot for hair her length which at the time was to the shoulder. But, this is what she discovered. She immediately found that there was an intense feeling of clean. Not just the hair but the Wen hair “Fig” flavor of the shampoo, which is what she used, is tingling on her scalp. She felt that it did its job in cleansing all the residue of the styling product she had used in the last two days.

As time went on, Emily noticed an extra drop in her curl. She continued to use Wen for over a week and on the 10th day or so she took an educated guess that it was adjusting to her hair. It worked the way it should.
She did contend that this flavor of Wen is good for those that are changing shampoos once or twice a week with their regular shampoo and change types.
