Karl Heideck has had tremendous experience in the field of law. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Karl Heideck currently works as a Contract Attorney at Grant & Eisenhofer. His position at the firm requires him to review cases for suspected fraud and banking litigation. He also offers services to clients in matters related to transactions and risk management.
Before his position at Grant & Eisenhofer, Heideck used to work at Pepper Hamilton where he was a Project Attorney. There, he was responsible for the quality control of the various clients that approached the firm. It was here that Karl Heideck developed his interest in litigation. As part of his job, he reviewed materials concerning ongoing investigations for the government and private clients.
Litigation is a term usually used to denote the happenings between two parties on opposite ends, for the purpose of gaining justice or defending their human rights. Unlike other cases, a litigation usually ends up in a settlement agreement between the concerning parties. However, in rare cases, the parties may end up battling it out in court in front of a judge and a jury.
Contradictory to colloquialism, litigation does not, in fact, refer to a lawsuit, but the process is leading up to a lawsuit or settlement. A Litigator is someone who specializes in the task of taking legal action against people and organizations, addressing the entire case rather than just one small part of it. A litigator performs every action necessary for the establishment of a good case for his client. Right from investigation to possible settlement negotiations with the opposing party, the litigator does it all.
Before his litigation experience, Karl Heideck worked as an associate for Conrad O’Brien. As an associate soon out of law school, he represented a number of corporate and individual clients. He was involved with cases that dealt with government investigations, SEC receivership, and banking. Also, he has worked on cases involving toxic tort defense and white collar criminal defenses. Here, he also learned the art of negotiations and participated in numerous settlement negotiations, something that would greatly benefit him in his career in the years to come.
Karl Heideck is known to be one of the best litigators at Grant & Eisenhofer. He attained a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Swarthmore College in Philadelphia. He then went on to get his degree in law from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law.
